My name is Lenny and I currently live in a 30’ Xplorer 320 motorhome while I’m setting up two mini-mobile homes on my suburban property. I started setting up some solar energy using a Harbor Freight 100-watt system and as prices came down and I came across great deals, I expanded my off-grid solar system to over 1,000 watts, three 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries, and two 100Ah AGM batteries.
I plan to travel around with my dog Buddy in my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 HD pickup truck (lifted, 4WD, V8 Cummins Turbo Diesel), living on the road in a 32’ Hideout Toy Hauler RV. I will keep my mini-mobile home and rent the other one so I’ll have a home base to come back to on a regular basis (maybe have a roomie living in mine so it’s not vacant while I’m on the road).
Buddy showed up on my property sometimes, in the middle of the night as a stray, eating the food I would put out every night for the local vermin (raccoons, opossums, feral cats). Eventually, he started showing up in the morning and I would put out more food for him and he quit being afraid and became my “Buddy.”

I had seen these types of mini-washing machines online before but was going to hold off on getting one until I was actually ready to hit the road and do some traveling, but I was blessed to be given a used one by a neighbor. It needs to be cleaned up as it was sitting in his carport for quite a while. I went ahead and did a test run with too much detergent (these only need a small amount) and bleach and that cleaned the washtub and mostly cleaned the spin tub.
According to the tag on the back and the owner’s manual, it uses 300 watts on the wash cycle and 120 watts on the spin cycle, both at 120 volts, so it should run fine off of most solar systems.

Here is my Amazon Store link to a variety of mini-washing machines and the next link is to one exactly like the Costway but from a different brand (Giantex) but appears to be the exact same machine. I did see where Sears and Home Depot sell the Costway model but they charged more than through my Amazon Store links. Costway Mini Washing Machine and Others – https://amzn.to/2AQYuZY
Giantex Mini Washing Machine – seems to be exactly like the Costway model that I just got – https://amzn.to/2ItYMu4
The background music is called Rolling Tide which I thought appropriate because of “Tide” detergent, although that isn’t what I use.
